Description
This book tells by word and picture the story of two Royal brothers ; of one whose brief reign ended so unfortunately last year ; and of the other who has now been crowned as King in his place. As time tempers the memory of Edward the Eighth’s ten months’ reign, there seems less and less reason that such memory be a tragic one. Edward had served his Empire through twenty-five of its most tempestuous years. His task during two decades was no less arduous than that performed by his august father King George the Fifth : nor less important in re-binding the war-frayed tissues of Empire.
