The preparation of this book has been for me a work of absorbing interest; Dr Herbert writes, partly because the exodus lies at the base of the faith of the Old Testament, and its themes of a mighty deliverance carries on into the Churches Easter, and partly for its historical study. Set during the biblical Exodus, the story follows the journey of the Israelites as they escape slavery in Egypt under the leadership of Moses. It depicts their trials and tribulations in the desert, their encounters with various challenges, and their ultimate quest for freedom and the promised land. The book offers a compelling account of a significant event in religious history.
