Description
In 1982, two unlikely companions, one an English Jack of All Trades [the author] and the other an American Doctor of Psychoanalysis, set off to walk from Granada to Madrid. Roy Nash’s account of the journey is in no way meant to be a guide to other hikers. On the contrary, If anything, it is an indication of how not to go about things. With out of date maps, wrong footwear and no forward planning, they ended up in all sorts of trouble, including being arrested at gunpoint for wandering across a minefield into a secret military camp. This frank and funny book describes the adventures and misadventures, their reflections and encounters on route. [Both real and imaginary] as well as impressions of the places they pass through.
