Description

The Greks Bring Gifts is a sharp social satire and science fiction novel by Murray Leinster (William Fitzgerald Jenkins). When a massive spacecraft arrives on Earth, the seemingly altruistic “Greks” offer humanity revolutionary technology and gifts that promise a new golden age of leisure. However, as the machines begin to fail and the aliens’ true motives are revealed, humanity discovers that the price of their “gifts” is far higher than anyone imagined. The story follows a young physicist and a resourceful female doctor as they race to uncover the biological and technical secrets of the aliens before Earth is completely enslaved by its supposed benefactors.
